OVERVIEW

Quote

Web Part Pages are a type of classic SharePoint page primarily used in earlier versions, including SharePoint 2007. These pages are structured using Web Part zones, which allow users to add and arrange Web Parts for displaying dynamic content.

Unlike Wiki Pages, Web Part Pages:

Only support Web Parts – No direct text input without a Web Part
Are organized into zones – Web Parts stack vertically in designated areas
Have a fixed layout – Zone layouts cannot be changed after page creation
